Ellerman House x BMW | Episode 1 - A Fyn Concept

Episode 1, ‘A Fyn Concept’, unveils a unique collaboration between Ellerman House, BMW and renowned South African artist, Nic Bladen. Follow Nic and the team in this 6-part journey as they conceptualise, design, perfect and refine an extraordinary BMW 7 Series Individual Manufaktur. Custom-built for Ellerman House, it is one of a kind. Just like each of Nic’s botanical sculptures. Through expert artistry Nic pioneered a technique to develop perfect castings of organic matter using ‘cire perdue’ or ‘lost wax casting’. By preserving leaves, flowers and sometimes entire Fynbos plants in bronze and sterling silver, Nic showcases the rich biodiversity of the Cape Floral Kingdom in his work.
